Maple River Bend is a single-product social entertainment platform based in Canada. We collect the bare minimum needed to keep the site running, confirm that visitors are 18 or older, and respond to messages addressed to the support inbox. This notice explains what we hold, why we hold it, how long it remains stored, and what your rights are under Canadian privacy law.
What we keep on your device
When you confirm the age gate, a flag is written into your browser local storage so we do not have to re-prompt on every page load. When you respond to the cookie banner, a second flag is stored the same way. Neither value contains personal data and neither leaves your device.
What our server records
The platform runs behind a standard web host that maintains short-lived access logs. Those contain the source IP address, the path you requested, the user-agent string of your browser, and a timestamp. We do not run client-side analytics, advertising pixels, session-replay tools, or third-party tag managers anywhere on this domain.
What we do not do
- We do not sell personal data.
- We do not transfer it to advertisers.
- We do not build behavioural profiles.
- We do not track you across other websites.
- We do not require an account.
Retention
Browser-side flags persist until you clear them through your browser settings. Server access logs roll off after fourteen days. Support correspondence is kept while the thread is active plus six months for reference.
Your rights under PIPEDA
Canadian residents may request access to any data we hold, request its correction, or request its deletion. Send the request from the email address concerned to [email protected] and we will respond inside thirty days. Residents of Quebec, Alberta and British Columbia are also covered by provincial private-sector privacy statutes.
Minors
Maple River Bend is strictly 18+. We do not knowingly process data from minors. If you believe a minor has interacted with the platform, please write to us and we will purge whatever can be located from our logs and any associated support thread.
